AMD has decided to take a leaf back to its Opteron processors, and perform really powerful and efficient processors.
The new Opteron 6000 Series are a new range dramatically improved compared to their predecessors, in this new MAD range has decided to introduce 32 nm technology in its new line.
The advantages of these new processors can find a variation from 8 cores and 12 cores, and are also able to handle four-channel DDR3.
With these 12-core performance AMD is increasing by 80% compared to their predecessors, plus the energy and power has been the same, which means that, despite being more cores and more power has not increased energy consumption, it also demonstrates the importance that AMD has in its efficiency (not its Intel competition).
According to AMD, "the new processors outperform its Intel competition, but a ovbiamente lower cost and with improved energy better than Intel.
